Somewhere along the way, we’ve been taught that if we feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain, we must have somehow lost ourselves.
I don’t believe that’s true.
I think we’ve simply become so busy being who life needed us to be that we’ve forgotten to ask who we are beneath it all.
The dependable one.
The caregiver.
The problem solver.
The peacekeeper.
The strong one.
Those roles serve us.
Until they become us.
Over the past several years, whether someone is lying on my treatment table or simply sharing their story over coffee, I’ve heard the same quiet truth again and again.
“I don’t know who I am anymore.”
“I just don’t feel like myself.”
Different words.
The same feeling.
I don’t believe you’ve lost yourself.
I believe you’ve adapted.
And adaptation is an incredible gift.
It helps us survive grief, caregiving, difficult relationships, career changes, illness, and life’s unexpected turns.
But sometimes the very patterns that once protected us begin to keep us disconnected from ourselves.
That’s where my work begins.
Through gentle bodywork and energy therapy, I create space for the nervous system to settle.
When the body no longer has to stay on high alert, something remarkable often happens.
People begin to hear themselves again.
Not because I gave them the answers.
Because they were finally quiet enough to recognize their own.
That simple belief is at the heart of everything I’m creating—from one-on-one sessions to Conversation Cards and an upcoming workshop.
Not to help people become someone new.
But to help them reconnect with who they’ve always been.
So if you’ve found yourself saying, “I don’t feel like myself,” I’d like to offer you a different possibility.
Maybe you aren’t lost.
Maybe you’re simply ready to come home to yourself.
Thanks for spending a few moments with me today.
Until next time,
Kelly
